Brief but excellent show.
Bob Moses was an act St Louis was dying to see for a long time! But...the show wasn't well promoted, so most people I knew who were Bob Moses fans were unaware of the show. Also, there was no merch. I've been going to concerts for 40 years and never seen a headline act, no matter how small the venue or the city not have merch?
Now, the show was scheduled to start at 9:10. Due to tech problems, the show started an hour late, and due to the 11:45 time limit, the show really couldn't go quite as long as it should have. However, Jimmy and Tom did come out and address the crowd and thank them for their patience, though to be honest, the crowd was a surprisingly older crowd, and not the type to freak out over delays, so everyone in the audience took it in stride.
On to the show; Bob Moses was a full touring band and not just Tom and Jimmy, so you got that full rocking sound you get from a full band, and accoustics in Delmar Hall are quite good, so the sound quality was excellent, and Bob Moses put on I think the best sow they could given circumstances beyond their control. Everyone left wanting more, and hopefully Bob Moses will remember this night and not skip over St Louis on the next tour.
